Bring your BIB# confirmation email (sent Wednesday, October 7th) and a photo ID to expedite pick up. 🚨 DONT' FORGET 🚨: Half Marathon & Marathon participants are required to pick up their race BIB during Packet Pick-Up on Friday or Saturday, October 9th + 10th, unless you have pre-purchased Race Day Packet Pick-Up. 5K participants can pick up their bib on race day (Saturday) in front of the Aquarium of the Pacific at no charge, but we recommend that participants in the 5K pick up on Friday to avoid long lines on race morning.
What do I need to bring?
In order to expedite the pick up of your race bib, please bring your ID and BIB# confirmation email. Confirmation emails will be sent Wednesday, October 7th.
Can someone pick up my bib?
Yes, please send your proxy with a copy of your driver's license (digital picture is OK) and your BIB# confirmation email to expedite the pick up process. Confirmation emails are sent Wednesday, October 7th. Proxies may only pick up packets for up to 3 people.
Can I change race distance?
Yes, you may switch down in distance if there is still capacity. Please visit the DISTANCE CHANGES tables at the Race Expo to make this request. Participants cannot move “up” in distance, no exceptions.
Can I pick up my packet on race day?
Race day packet pick-up on Sunday, for the half-marathon, and marathon is available for a fee, unless you have pre-purchased Race Day Packet Pick-Up or Race Day VIP. Race day packet pick-up instructions will be emailed on Wednesday, October 7th, for those that purchased this service. Race Day Packet Pick-Up opens at 4:45am on race day at Marina Green. To purchase that, log into your Active My Events account, select “Purchase Merchandise” → “Race Day Packet Pick-Up.” 5K participants can pick up their bib on race day (Saturday) in front of the Aquarium of the Pacific at no charge, but we recommend that participants in the 5K pick up on Friday to avoid long lines.

Go Metro to the Race Expo
Take the Metro A-Line to the Race Expo and avoid traffic congestion! Exit the 1st Street Station in Long Beach and make the short 8 minute walk to Hall C for the Race Expo.

Parking for the Aquarium of the Pacific 5K is available below: Aquarium of the Pacific Parking Lot (lot closes at 6:00am) 100 Aquarium Way Pike Outlets Parking Garage* 65 Cedar Ave CLICK HERE to pre-purchase parking at the Pike Outlets Garage for the Aquarium of the Pacific 5K. *To avoid traffic congestion on Shoreline Drive: -coming from the 710-S freeway, exit the 710-S at 6th Street and use Magnolia Ave to W Seaside Way to access the Pike Outlets Parking Garage. -use the Vincent Thomas Bridge via 110-S to access CA-47 N/Seaside Freeway and exit Downtown. From there, use Magnolia Ave to W Seaside Way to access the Pike Outlets Parking Garage. Please note: the race does not validate parking. All parking rates are set by parking lot operators, not the race organizers.
On-Course Support
A water station and portable restrooms will be provided on course at Mile 1.5.
No Gear Check
Gear check is NOT available at this race. The Aquarium of the Pacific and Pike Outlets parking garages are adjacent to the start of the race and a short walk if you need to leave any items in your vehicle. Participants may pick up their race shirt after completing their race.
Course Time Limit
The 5K has a course time limit of 1.5 hours, which begins when the last runner crosses the start line. The event will utilize a wave start to alleviate course crowding and ensure a safer running experience. Due to the nature of the event, if a participant falls behind the established pace time, they may be asked to join the sweep vehicle to be moved ahead on course.

OVERALL WINNERS The top 3 male, female & non-binary finishers in the Aquarium of the Pacific 5K will receive a Sports Basement gift card. AGE GROUP WINNERS The top 3 male, female & non-binary finishers in each age group in the 5K will receive an award. Awards must be picked up on-site from the BIB PICK-UP table in front of the Aquarium of the Pacific. Awards will not be mailed post-race. Special Access
All 5K participants will have special access and pricing to the Aquarium of the Pacific after the race: -Adult 5K participants will have the opportunity to enter the Aquarium of the Pacific right after their race between the hours of 9:30am-12:00pm on October 10, 2026, for just $29.95. -Child 5K participants (11 years old and under) can enter the Aquarium of the Pacific right after their race between the hours of 9:30am-12:00pm, for just $9.95. All children must be accompanied by an adult. To gain entry at the discounted price, ALL participants must secure their tickets online ahead of time (including for children). Marathon participants can check gear to be held during the duration of their race. Gear Check is located on Marina Green south of the Marathon start line. Look for the YELLOW GATE Entrance for quick access to the Gear Check area. Gear check will open at 5:00am and close at 1:00pm. Clear, gear check bags will be provided at the Race Expo upon request or on race morning in front of the Gear Check area. All items must be placed in this clear bag to check your gear. Luggage or large bags will not be accepted. Please attach the gear check tag on your bib to your clear plastic bag to identify your bag.
On-Course Support
Please find the locations of the aid stations along each course listed below. Water is provided at all aid stations. Marathon: Miles 2, 4.5, 6, 8, 10, 11.5, 13, 14.5, 16.5, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23.5, 25. Gatorade Thirst Quencher (Lemon-Lime) will be provided at the following stations: 6, 8, 10, 11.5, 14.5, 16.5, 18, 20, 22, 23.5, and 25. Honey Stinger Energy Gels (Fruit Smoothie - Caffeine-free) will be offered at miles 10, 16.5, and 20 on the marathon course.
Pace Team
Join over 50 pacers from A Snail's Pace running team as they look to lead you to the finish line in your goal time. Look for the A Snail's Pace pacers (2 per group) and their goal finish time signs in the start corral and join them on your way to a great finish! Course Time Limits
Marathon: The marathon has a course time limit of 7.5 hours. Participants will need to maintain a pace of 17 minutes per mile to complete the race. This is based off your chip time when you cross the start line. Due to the nature of our event permit, if a participant falls behind the established pace time, they may be asked to join the sweep vehicle to be moved ahead on course.

Those that have paid for Race Day VIP access will be able to enjoy a private area on Marina Green beginning at 4:45am on race day. One of the perks of Race Day VIP is race day bib pick-up which means that you can skip the Race Expo and go to the Race Day VIP tent directly on race morning to pick-up your race number. Race Day VIP perks include private gear check, private restrooms, morning refreshments, a boxed lunch, and additional complimentary beverages. Those that have paid for Race Day VIP will receive an email on Wednesday with additional information about the VIP experience.

Parking is limited near the immediate start area of the race. Please plan to give yourself plenty of time to arrive on race morning due to expected heavy traffic on both freeways and surface streets leading into Downtown Long Beach. USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - The Metro A-Line has 3 stops in Downtown Long Beach. Use the free Park and Ride lot at Willow Street Station and take the A-Line headed south to Downtown Long Beach. Exit at 1st Street Station for a quick walk to Marina Green.

A limited number of parking passes will be sold online for the following parking lots. Getting Dropped Off
The best place to get dropped off on race morning is near the intersection of Ocean Blvd and Linden Ave. For rideshare, use this address: 448 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA. Participants can then walk down Linden Ave and cut through the Long Beach Arena parking lot to access Marina Green and the start line on E Shoreline Drive.
Driving on I-405 from Los Angeles or Santa Monica
Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) south and exit at Pacific Avenue, Long Beach Boulevard, or Atlantic Avenue. Turn right and head toward Downtown Long Beach on any of these streets to reach the designated parking areas.
Driving on I-405 from Southern Orange County or San Diego
Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) north and exit Long Beach Boulevard, or Atlantic Avenue. Turn left and head toward Downtown Long Beach on either of these streets to reach the designated parking areas.
Driving on I-710
Take the Long Beach Freeway (I-710) south and exit at 6th Street. Take 6th Street to Magnolia Ave or Pine Avenue and make a right to access the parking areas. Or exit at Broadway. Take Broadway toward Pine Ave to access the parking areas.
Public Transportation
Take the Los Angeles Metro's A-Line from Los Angeles to the 1st Street Station in Downtown Long Beach. Riders will be dropped off at 1st Street and Long Beach Blvd in Downtown Long Beach — just a short 13-minute walk to Marina Green (start line). Michelob Ultra Beer Garden
Participants 21 years of age and older are invited to keep the celebration going in the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden! Anyone looking to enter the Beer Garden will need to show a physical ID to get a wristband. Those coming to the Race Expo can bring their ID to the ID Check booth to get a wristband. The wristband must be worn until Sunday. Those with a wristband can use the Express Lanes to enter the Beer Garden. Race finishers can redeem their complimentary beer in the Beer Garden - choose between Michelob ULTRA, Michelob ULTRA Seltzer, and Michelob ULTRA Zero. Beach Bums - look out for the special Beach Bum redemption line to redeem your additional beer. In addition to the other free beer options, Beach Bums can redeem a free Kona Big Wave. Additional beverages can be purchased for $6 with proceeds going to the Long Beach Century Club, an organization dedicated to the support of amateur athletics in the city of Long Beach, CA. Choose from Michelob ULTRA, Michelob ULTRA Seltzer, Michelob ULTRA Zero, and Kona Big Wave for purchase.

Teams Village & Super Teams Village
SUPER TEAMS VILLAGE Teams with 40+ members have reserved a space in the Super Teams Village! A wristband is required to enter Super Teams Village—please check with your team captain to ensure you receive your wristband. The Super Teams Village has individual tents for each Super Team, a separate beer distribution point only for Super Teams, and private restrooms! TEAMS VILLAGE Teams with 10+ members in 2026 are eligible to reserve a 10×10 space in the GA Teams Village area on race day; RSVPs are requested. Teams are able to bring pop-up tents and use this space as they see fit (gathering space, recovery zone, etc.). For further questions about the Super Teams Village or Teams Village, please contact your Team Captain. Captains with questions or looking to RSVP may email teams@runlongbeach.com with your team name for help.

Challenges & Loyalty Programs
Beach Bum Loyalty program
Beach Bum Loyalty status is reached after running the marathon or half marathon distance at Long Beach Marathon for three consecutive years (in person or virtual). Runners can achieve Beach Bum status by running any combination of either distance if they are run consecutively. If the runner misses a year, they default on their loyalty status. Beach Bum loyalty status will be denoted on your race bib. If you're eligible, don't forget to pick up your special-edition Beach Bum shirt from the Beach Bum t-shirt tables at the Race Expo. Beach Bums are also eligible to receive a second, complimentary beverage in the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden after the race on Sunday. Beach Bums should look for the special Beach Bum line to redeem their additional beer. Beach Bums will have the BEACH BUM box on their Sunday race envelope denoted with a marking to collect their loyalty perks. If you are a Beach Bum runner, but do not have the BEACH BUM designation, please visit the Loyalty Updates tables in the Bib Pick-Up area at the Race Expo and our team will be able to assist you.
Long Beach Combo
Participants that complete two races over Long Beach Marathon weekend are eligible to earn a Combo Award. The following combination of events are eligible for the "Combo Award". Aquarium of the Pacific 5K (Saturday, 10/10) + Half Marathon (Sunday, 10/11) Aquarium of the Pacific 5K (Saturday, 10/10) + Marathon (Sunday, 10/11) Those participating in two races over race weekend will have the COMBO box on their Sunday race bib denoted with a marking. If you are participating in two races but do not have the “COMBO” designation, please visit the Loyalty Updates tables in the Bib Pick-Up area at the Race Expo with your bibs and our team will be able to assist you. Participants completing the Long Beach Combo challenge can pick up their Combo award on Sunday after completing their race. Look for the COMBO & CHALLENGE MEDALS tent on Marina Green to pick up.
Beach Cities Challenge
The Beach Cities Challenge is a participation challenge involving the Surf City Marathon, Long Beach Marathon, and OC Marathon events. Participants that complete these races consecutively are eligible to collect an additional medal after finishing their race. Participants must have completed the following races to be eligible to complete the Beach Cities Challenge at this race: • 2026 Surf City Marathon – Half Marathon or Marathon • 2026 Hoag OC Marathon Running Festival – Half Marathon or Marathon Those completing their third race, and thus, completing the Beach Cities Challenge at the race will have the BCC box on their Sunday race bib denoted with a marking. If you are completing the Beach Cities Challenge at this race, but do not have the BCC designation, please visit the LOYALTY UPDATES tables in the Bib Pick-Up area in the Race Expo and our team will be able to assist you. Participants completing the Beach Cities Challenge will be able to pick-up their BCC medal on Sunday after completing their race at the COMBO & CHALLENGE MEDALS tent on Marina Green.
Golden State Challenge
Those that are participating in the Golden State Challenge will receive an email with further information regarding the Golden State Challenge Lounge and where to pick up your prizes! You must have completed one or more events below in the 2026 season to be eligible for Golden State Challenge prizes: FEBRUARY Surf City Marathon & Half Marathon MAY Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon Bay to Breakers JULY Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon SEPTEMBER Surf City 10 5K FINISHERS - Those completing their 4th race at the Aquarium of the Pacific 5K and thus completing the Golden State Challenge can pick-up their GSC medal on Saturday after completing their race. Look for the GOLDEN STATE CHALLENGE tent in front of the Aquarium to pick up. MARATHON OR HALF FINISHERS - Those completing their 4th race on Sunday during the Marathon or Half Marathon and thus completing the Golden State Challenge can pick-up their GSC medal on Sunday after completing their race. Look for the FIND YOUR NEXT GSC RACE tent on Marina Green to pick-up.

Golden State Challenge
Participants that are completing their fourth Golden State Challenge race are eligible to pick-up their challenge medal at Long Beach Marathon. Eligible participants will receive an email with further instructions and can pick-up their medal at the Golden State Challenge tent in Race Expo. To be eligible for the Golden State Challenge medal participants must have already completed a 5K or longer distance at (4) of the following events: Surf City Marathon, Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon, Bay to Breakers, Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon, and/or Surf City 10.
